Here’s how to link your Aadhar card with LIC policy

By now, until you are not living under the rock, everyone knows that the linking of Aadhaar card to everything that involves your hard-earned money is mandatory. Linking of your Aadhaar card with insurance policies also comes under the same ambit. Life Insurance Corporation, India’s largest life insurer, also mentions on its website that it is important to link Aadhaar and PAN to your LIC policies. For linking Aadhaar and PAN to a user’s policies, LIC offers both online and offline facilities to its policyholders. Under the offline facility, a LIC policyholder has to fill up a form and submit it along with the requisite documents to any LIC branch office.

STEP 1
Log into LIC’s website
Log onto licindia.in and find the link to linking the Aadhaar with LIC policies the homepage. Tap on the link and LIC provides you with a list of instructions on how to link policies online.

STEP 2
Enter mobile number
Enter your registered mobile number with UIDAI and an OTP will be sent to the Aadhaar registered number.

STEP 3
Click on Proceed
After going through the checklist, click on the Proceed button at the bottom of the page and a form will appear.

STEP 4
Fill in details
Fill in details like Full Name as Per Aadhaar, Date Of Birth, Name of Father/Spouse, Aadhaar Number, Policy Number, PAN etc.

STEP 5
Get OTP
Click on the GET OTP link and an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. The user will receive a message on the success of the registration for linkage.
